Pachyderm is an international, peer-reviewed journal that deals with matters related to the conservation and management in the wild of African elephants, African rhinos, and Asian rhinos. It is produced by the African Elephant, African Rhino, and Asian Rhino Specialist Groups. It started as the African Elephant and Rhino Specialist Group Newsletter in April 1983 and became Pachyderm in December 1984, in the fourth issue.
